Bureaucrats: 'It Might Take a Year' to Cut a Road to Big Chimney. Coal Miners Do It in a Week.

This election seems to be about contrasts. Stark contrasts. When Trump annihilated Joe Biden during the June debate, Harris stepped in. She hadn’t won a primary, hadn’t gotten a single vote, but she was magically the nominee.

On the other side, Trump won his nomination during a primary process and won the nomination with votes. Democracy at work. The left declared they would save democracy while simultaneously avoiding the democratic process.

The theme for the democrats was one of “Joy.” Harris was the “joy” candidate. She was joyful until she wasn’t. She and the rest of her supporters quickly morphed from fake joy to actual anger. The joyful cackle was gone. Harris became shrill. Trump remained calm. The better Trump got, the shriller the cultists became.

While the yin and yang of style played out between the candidates, two hurricanes hit the East Coast. First Helene, then Milton. North Carolina was the victim of Helene’s worst. FEMA, it seemed, was wrapped in red tape and had the inertia of winter molasses. Fed resources were not reaching North Carolinians trapped in rubble amid an expected and predictable bureaucratic malaise.

Republicans were more proactive. Florida positioned assets and sent them to North Carolina. FEMA positioned assets in deck chairs and complained about nonexistent gangs of “Good o’ boys huntin’ Some Feds.” My buddy Sister Toldjah wrote:

“Please donate what you can, try to find a nonprofit to donate to,” fed-up North Carolina law enforcement officer Mike DeStefano urged in a recent TikTok video, as reported by RedState’s Jennifer Oliver O’Connell. “Church, local PD. A lot of those are taking donations, sheriff’s departments. I know my department is running a bunch of stuff to the western part of the state to help donate, but please do not donate to FEMA.”

“They are hindering a lot of what people are trying to accomplish out in the western part of the state,” he also stated.

FEMA pledged support to the alphabet soup gang first. Equity foremost.

At the same time real people were struggling, celebrities were in struggle sessions. “Girl Dad” celebrities cut a video to support their daughters’ right to abort a baby. One of those celebs was Ben Stiller. AKA: Zoolander.

You might recall Zoolander was a dummy male model who tried to return to his coalminer roots. But he couldn’t manage it because Zoolander is/was a softhanded pretentious clown.

Back to the East Coast, where real people work and live. West Virginians decided to step up and get their calloused hands into the fight.

On Facebook:

The same on “X”.

Men doing the work. Celebrities doing the complaining. The contrast cannot be clearer. I admit that I don’t know the politics of those West Virginians, and I don’t know who they are voting for president, but I think I can make an educated guess. Is there any doubt that an EPA hack will step in soon and demand that the Big Chimney terrain be returned to a mass of boulders because the coal miners didn’t pull permits and didn’t get an environmental study?

Harris gets Zoolander’s vote.

Trump gets the boys from “Almost Heaven.”
