The Chrisleys can not seem to catch a break. Weeks after Julie Chrisley‘s resentencing did not go as she had hoped, Todd Chrisley lost his prison job.

The reality star reportedly got fired from his job as an administrative officer at his correctional center as he served his sentence.

Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley, bagged a total of 19 years in prison for bank fraud and tax evasion and began their respective sentences last January.

The reality star was dismissed from the administrative position at the chapel inside FPC Pensacola, where he is currently serving his time.

Todd has reportedly been on his best behavior serving the chaplain and helping with set up for church services for different inmates of all religious backgrounds.

He was, however, spotted doing something extra on the side, like working out of a small office next to the prison’s Residential Drug Abuse Program and speaking with inmates in the program.

His attorney confirmed that his conduct was a violation of the prison rules and regulations as some of the inmates in the program have access to the outside world, and it is not a good idea for Todd to engage in any communication with them.

TMZ gathered that Todd found the job rewarding and is looking forward to getting reinstated so he can resume his duties. Nevertheless, he is still able to attend religious duties as he is reportedly “leaning on God to help him get through his 12-year sentence.”

Todd Previously Claimed The Prison Officials Fed The  Inmates Unhealthy Meals

Todd’s termination of employment came after The Blast shared last December that the reality star accused the FPC Pensacola of feeding inmates animal-infested food.

He claimed the facility had rats/squirrels in their food storage rooms and revealed that a dead cat once dropped from the ceiling into their food. Todd explained that his meals are laden with black molds and past their expiration date by at least one year.

The celebrity declared in the claim that since the foodstuffs were rodent-infested, the meals prepared by the correctional facility kitchen were, therefore, appalling, distasteful, and unhealthy.

Todd’s claims were immediately trashed by the FBOP who insisted their prisons provided premium and humane facilities.

The body clarified that their kitchens function under strict hygiene rules and regulations while prioritizing the needs of every inmate and providing them with “healthy, nutritionally sound, and appetizing meals.”

The prison reps added that the claims of molds on food were also false as they make it a point always to discard expired meals. Surprisingly, the prison officials reportedly supported inmates like Todd airing their grievances.

They explained that the prison authorities would only give listening ears to those who followed the appropriate channels.

The Chrisley couple have certainly taken some major disappointment lately. Last month, The Blast noted that the family’s matriarch and Todd’s wife, Julie, was asked to complete her original 7-year sentence, dashing their hopes for an early return back home.

The judge in charge of the case in The Northern District of Georgia claimed she received several letters from Julie’s family, including her daughter, Savannah Chrisley, and a licensed therapist for the convicted couple.

The bulk of the letter had the writers expressing their concern for the safety of the Chrisley kids as a reason to reduce Julie’s jail time. However, the judge was not convinced as he insisted the Chrisley kids are not minors who do not have access to therapy.

She emphasized that she would give the 51-year-old a free pass just because she is a parent. The judge also denied Julie’s request to self-report back to her holding center in Kentucky after a 24-hour furlough.

Why Was The Chrisley Matriarch Slated For Resentencing?

Julie’s presence in court was facilitated by a costly mistake made during her initial sentencing judgment. The reality star got 7 years in prison back in November 2022 alongside Todd, who got a 12-year sentencing.

A federal judge then ruled that her first sentencing be thrown out after it was discovered that the ruling held her liable for the entire bank fraud rather than noting that she was only a part of it.

The fraud and federal tax evasion had two other people involved in the case including her husband and their accountant, Peter Tarantino, which meant she could not be held as the sole perpetrator.

While Julie got lucky with the resentencing hearing, although it was fruitless, Todd and Tarantino’s time stayed the same.

Will Todd Chrisley ever stop getting in trouble with the prison officials?
