The Baltimore Ravens’ Monday night victory moved them into a decisive second-place spot in the Super Bowl odds at +600 on BetMGM, just behind their AFC rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs (+425). Since last week, the San Francisco 49ers, who were tied for second with the Ravens at +700 odds, dropped to +900, leaving the Ravens as the sole top challenger to the Chiefs. For now.
To look at Super Bowl odds after Week 7 is to feel a wave of déjà vu: Is it January 28 again? The four teams that made the AFC and NFC championship games last season are the four teams at the top of the odds to win the Super Bowl: The Chiefs (+425), Ravens (+600), Detroit Lions (+750) and 49ers (+900).
After Week 7, the Lions blew past the Buffalo Bills (+1000) in the odds to complete this familiar foursome at the top heading into NFL Week 8.
But how long will San Francisco hold on after a devastating week of injuries? And what about the rest of the field? Are the Cincinnati Bengals cooked? Could the Russell Wilson-led Pittsburgh Steelers pose a new threat in the AFC? Over in the NFC, it’s a carnival of options, with the 49ers’ struggles blowing the lid off the jar: Sure, the Lions and Minnesota Vikings make very strong arguments for being the NFC powerhouses this year, but what about the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles? Was the Seattle Seahawks’ start a blip? And then, of course, there are those upstart Washington Commanders.
Here’s the latest on the Super Bowl odds after the debris has cleared from Week 7.

Super Bowl 2025 odds
One of the marquee games of Week 7 was a “Super Bowl rematch” between the Chiefs and 49ers. It was a pivotal moment in the season, and the Chiefs were decisive. Their odds held nearly steady from last week, moving slightly from +475 to +425.
Steady is the word for this undefeated Chiefs team, delivering slow-cook performances that get the job done without any thrills or frills. With their 28-18 dispatching of the beat-up Niners, the Chiefs cemented themselves as Super Bowl favorites and became the only remaining undefeated team in the league.
The 49ers, meanwhile, lost not just the Super Bowl rematch game but also star receiver Brandon Aiyuk, who is now out for the season with a torn ACL. Their Super Bowl odds took a predictable tumble from a tie for second with the Ravens to the fourth spot. The Niners are 3-4 right now, though their point differential is plus-22. They have the talent and the coaching to be in a much better spot than they are right now, but injuries may create a ceiling San Fran can’t break through this year.
Trending in the opposite direction are the Ravens and the Lions. After Week 7, the Ravens continued closing the gap on the Chiefs with both teams seemingly right on track for an AFC Championship rematch in January. The Ravens are hot right now, but even if they cool off a bit, their Super Bowl odds are likely to get even shorter, particularly if the Chiefs struggle in Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who the Ravens just defeated.
The Bills’ odds stayed the same through Week 7 after a very predictable win over the Tennessee Titans, but the Bills and the Houston Texans are the best outside options to oust the Ravens or Chiefs. The Texans’ odds grew from +1100 to +1500 after losing to the Packers, who are now tied with the Vikings at +1400.
Speaking of those Packers, the state of the NFC is intriguing right now. The aforementioned Lions are third-favorite to win the Super Bowl after handing the Vikings their first loss of the season. But the Vikings are an excellent dark horse bet to at least get to the Super Bowl this year. Was that contest against Detroit a crack in their armor or just a well-fought game on both sides with two fantastic contenders?
Meanwhile, perhaps the most interesting surprise contender in the NFC is the Commanders. They’re still a pretty long shot in the odds at +3500, tied with the Atlanta Falcons. Their biggest challenge to clinching a spot in the playoffs is, of course, the division rival Eagles, who have the benefit of experience and are +1600 to win the Super Bowl. The teams play each other in Week 11.
A couple of dark-horse options in the AFC are the Bengals, who are finally gaining steam after a terrible start, and the Steelers. The Bengals have already lost to the Chiefs and Ravens and can’t afford to do much more losing at this point if they want to get a wild-card playoff spot. The AFC North is formidable, with the Bengals third behind the Ravens and the Steelers, who looked like real contenders in Wilson’s first outing of the season against Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets. But then, the Jets are just … maybe really bad?
