Joe Biden flew to Berlin on Thursday in what is likely his last trip there as his time occupying the Oval Office winds down. The purpose is what it usually is with Biden: focus on Ukraine, although he also met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to talk about security, trade, and other economic issues, and he received an award from German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
After meeting with Scholz, he met with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron to talk about the fighting in Ukraine. “The key question is the nature of security guarantees and so that’s what we will talk about tomorrow,” Macron said.
Translation? Sounds like more money from the American taxpayers tossed into the neverending war.
Unfortunately, Joe Biden can’t stop being Joe Biden with all his issues. So there were those “What the heck” Biden moments. There was the “lost look in the eyes” as he met with Steinmeier for a photo op. The handlers immediately pushed the press out of the room so they wouldn’t ask Biden any questions.

Then, when he later met Starmer, Scholz, and Macron, you could see how slow and stiff he was as he tried to find his mark to stand on for another photo op. He’s doing that holding his hands out thing, too. He did manage to find his mark.

But then, once there, a reporter slipped a question into the photo op and asked him what he hoped to achieve today. Biden’s response perhaps sums up his whole time occupying the office.
IN BERLIN:
“What do you hope to achieve today, Mr. President?”
BIDEN (cooked): “Don’t jump.”

“Don’t jump!” Biden responded, which did not answer the question and had nothing to do with anything. But it raises the question again of who is running the country when you have bizarre actions like this.
What a sorry summing up that is — that his whole time occupying office has been a “jump” or departure from reality and all norms.
This has been evident for a long time. Kamala Harris and other Democrats had an obligation to the American people to tell the truth, and they were more concerned about their own power than the best interests of the American people.
The Democrat powers that be pushed Biden aside. Biden may now be regretting having gone along with it, if the conversation he had with Barack Obama at Ethel Kennedy’s memorial service — according to one lip reader — is any indication.
