On Monday, White House Press Secretary and new “senior adviser” Karine Jean-Pierre had a meltdown when she was asked about funding for people affected by Hurricane Helene.
Fox’s Peter Doocy asked how can they have $157 million to give Lebanon without reaching out to Congress, but then in the next breath say they are going to be out of money in the future for hurricane relief to help Americans?
KJP called the question “misinformation.”
Must watch TV as the Press Briefing leads to KJP storming out
Peter Doocy & KJP get heated over Biden sending money to Lebanon without Congressional approval but refusing to do so for North Carolina.

KJP tried to shut down his question, saying misinformation was “dangerous.”
But as Doocy pointed out, Biden is “fond” of saying, “Show me your budget and I will tell you what you value.”
“You can’t call a question you don’t like misinformation,” he scoffed at her ridiculous deflection.
Jean-Pierre acknowledged they were going to need additional funding after Helene and Milton because they didn’t know how bad Milton would be. Doocy said that’s exactly why he’s asking the question about the use of money. How can you say you need money and/or need to ask Congress when you are immediately ponying up money for other things?
KJP flipped out, saying he might not want money for disaster relief, but Congress had to provide it — and then she stormed out.
Now Doocy is dropping the receipts on Jean-Pierre and Kamala Harris about “misinformation.” He notes how Kamala Harris was posting about the $157 million in aid to Lebanon.

And it wasn’t just her, it was also Secretary of State Antony Blinken as we reported, posting about responding to Lebanon’s “humanitarian crisis.”

Imagine you’re suffering from the hurricane or you have family who are, and you see that, what must you think? Why can’t that money be deployed for hurricane relief if it can be deployed for relief for people in Lebanon? And why are you spending it on Lebanon?
Doocy also noted that Joe Biden was posting about how the Small Business Administration disaster loan program was going to be running out of money too, “if Congress doesn’t come back.”
To most people, Doocy explained, “A taxpayer dollar is a taxpayer dollar is a taxpayer dollar.”
“That is not misinformation,” he declared. “That is a FACT.”
Good for Peter Doocy following up on KJP when she refused to deal with that reality or answer his question about the Lebanon money. He’s doing what journalists are supposed to be doing — representing the people to get answers.
Whatever department or category you happen to have the money in, it’s all taxpayer money. People want to know it’s being spent for the American people. Money now categorized for the FEMA Shelter and Services program has been given to NGOs to use for “noncitizen migrants,” according to their own FEMA website. Even if you don’t classify that as part of the “disaster relief fund,” it’s still money being used through FEMA for that purpose, as we’ve reported. But liberal media has been buying into the Biden-Harris team spin, and not explaining the facts, just calling any questions “misinformation.”
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) is now trying to have such funds redirected to disaster relief. There have also been questions about the misappropriation of funds by FEMA whistleblowers.

The White House should be answering, but they’d rather storm out.
