Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days 2024 officially kicks off Tuesday, but there are already early deals on pretty much everything imaginable — from premium tech brands and designer fashion, to Prime Video channels and luxury beauty, to Lightning deals on gift cards, back-to-school essentials and more.

Taking place Oct. 8 and 9, Amazon says its two-day fall sale event (also known as October Prime Day) promises up to 60 percent off toys from Star Wars, American Girl and Nerf; up to 50 percent off home decor and kitchen essentials from KitchenAid, Ninja, Shark and Breville; and up to 40 percent off electronics from Samsung, Sonos and Bose, to name a few. Shoppers can also expect to find deals on gifts in the Holiday Shop, where gift guides will feature popular finds and presents under $10.

Amazon confirmed that Prime Big Deal Days 2024 will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 8, and Wednesday, Oct. 9. It follows the e-commerce giant’s tradition of running its second two-day sale event of the year in the fall after Prime Day in July.
Do You Need to Be a Prime Member to Shop Amazon Prime Big Deal Days?
In short, yes. As the name suggests, Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon’s deal event exclusively for Prime members, so you’ll want to sign up for a membership before you start shopping. The good news: Amazon has a 30-day free trial so you can test out a subscription before you commit. Subscriptions auto-renew at $14.99 per month or $139 per year.
If you’re a student between the ages of 18 to 24, you can try Prime Student free for six months; after that, pay only $7.49 monthly or $69 annually.
While some deals will be made available to all Amazon shoppers, the best Prime Big Deal Days discounts are reserved for Prime members.
Top Amazon Prime Big Deal Days Offers, How to Earn Shopping Credits
Eligible Prime members earn a $80 Amazon gift card upon approval for the Prime Store Card through Oct. 9, or a $150 Amazon gift card upon approval for a Prime Visa credit card until Oct. 31. Learn more about the offers here.
