There were some incredible, inspiring moments during former President Donald Trump’s return to Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday to finish the rally that was so rudely interrupted by an attempted assassin’s bullet.

There was the honoring of Corey Comperatore and the wonderful tenor Chis Macchio singing “Ave Maria” in his memory. The paramedic who described the care that Trump had for his family as she was attending to him after he was shot. How the crowd broke out in “The Star Spangled Banner” to support someone who fell ill during the event. Then there was Elon Musk’s excitement just to be there, this was real “joy” — not that fake stuff that Kamala was pushing. But he also stressed the existential question we face with this election for the country, especially when it comes to things like freedom of speech.

And Trump opened with a great line, “As I was saying,” and bringing back the chart he had been looking at that helped to save him because he turned his head. People behind him held signs of what he said when he stood up after being shot and fist pumped, “Fight, fight, fight!”

But there were a couple of other moments that were also quite touching that I wanted to report.

One was that RedState contributor Scott Presler, who has been doing everything he can to get people registered, especially in Pennsylvania, also spoke at the event. If we win, it will be in part because he has worked so hard and left everything on the field in the effort. I don’t think he expected he was going to speak, because he started off saying he wished he hadn’t worn shorts. But his first thoughts were to honor his parents, like a good son. Then he said, “Pennsylvania, you have the power to change the world.”

He reached out to the union workers, the Amish, to hunters, to truckers, and to students.

“I feel this from the top of my head to the tip of my toes, I love our great country,” Scott said. “President Trump took a bullet for us, please use your ballot and have his back on Nov. 5, and deliver Pennsylvania for Donald J. Trump!”

Then there was lyric tenor Christopher Macchio who finished up the night with song. This was a spectacular wrap up of a heart-touching day. Absolutely amazing!
