The conservative influencer who has become a regular front-row presence at former President Donald J. Trump’s campaign rallies in his suit with a brick wall pattern told RedState what it is like to have the president recall the influencer’s reaction to the July 13 attempt on Trump’s life.

“I’m going to the rally; I recognize that I’m just a meme. I’m not so much going there for my personal name; I represent a metaphor for border security,” said Brick Suit in an exclusive interview.

“I just try and get as close as I can to the president because I like being upfront,” said the influencer with more than 233,000 X followers and a frequent contributor at MAGA X-Spaces.

At the Sept. 29 rally in Erie, Pennsylvania, the president called out Brick Suit for his fearless demeanor after Trump was shot.

“There were so many people—tens of thousands of people—they didn’t flee,” Trump said.

“They stood. They watched and wanted to know what they could do to help,” he said. “The people in the front row—the Front Row Joes—(points to Brick Suit)—you were there, and it was amazing.”

Trump looked at Brick Suit again and pointed at him again.

“You stood. I watched you. You didn’t move, Mr. Wall,” the president said.

“I call him Mr. Wall,” he said. “Mr. Wall stood there. He didn’t move an inch, and the bullets are flying all over the place and it was an amazing thing to see, frankly, it was real bravery.”

Brick Suit said he was shocked Trump had such a hyper-awareness of what was going on around him.

“That totally floored me because he has talked at previous rallies about me being at Butler, me being in the front,” he said.

“I knew at least he was peripherally aware that I was at the front of the front line, basically in the front row at Butler,” he said.

“I had no idea that he knew anything about what I was doing,” he said.

“The fact that he knows that I was standing up, to me, was just mind-boggling—that he would have that level of knowledge, the guy getting shot in the head, and he remembers what his supporters are doing,” Brick Suit said. “That’s unbelievable to me.”

The MAGA personality said that the moment he heard the shots, his only worry was for the president and then for the other people in the crowd. “I was more concerned with the safety. I was more concerned with President Trump’s safety than my own at that point.”

Brick Suit said that he lost track of how many Trump rallies he has attended, but after going to dozens and dozens of rallies, town halls, and other events, the bond between Trump and his supporters still strikes him with awe.

“I think when he thanks me or points me out, I really believe it’s just really as a proxy, it’s as a proxy for all of his loyal supporters,” he said. “I view myself as a stand-in for that. If I go to a rally and it doesn’t happen, it’s not a big deal because it’s, it’s really up to him. If he’s going to include me, I’m down for it—and it’s not expected. It’s always appreciated.”

Brick Suit said no politician has such a personal, individual bond with his supporters as Trump. “I just don’t know of any other candidate who has ever been as faithful to their supporters.”

One example was when Trump called out another regular at an Erie, Pennsylvania, rally.

“In Erie, he mentioned the guy behind him, and he remembered his name, Tom,” he said.

“Tom was the guy with the green bucket cap, remembered his name and what he looks like enough so that in Erie, when they said: ‘Oh, the guy’s back behind you,’” he said.

The president turned around, he said.

“He looked behind him, and it was Vincent Fusca, it wasn’t Tom; Trump said: ‘No, that’s not the guy I’m talking about,’ so he knows exactly what his supporters look like, he remembered Tom’s name immediately, and that’s not on the teleprompter.”

Brick Suit said when he saw a video of Tom meeting Trump in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

“Just totally cool,” he said.

“I could tell President Trump was excited to meet him. President Trump still instantly recalls his name, and that does not happen with any other candidate.”
