The Senate race in Arizona between Republican nominee Kari Lake and extreme liberal Democrat Congressman Ruben Gallego, to replace the incumbent, independent Senator Kyrsten Sinema, continues to rush toward the November election in less than 40 days.
In recent weeks, the contest has tightened, with Lake’s numbers edging to within the margin of error with the Phoenix/East Valley representative. As my colleague Adam Turner wrote in a recent column about the swing-state Senate races, the race appears to be a toss-up (Gallego, 49 percent; Lake, 43 percent), the Republican candidate also can expect to be helped by former President Donald Trump’s rising tide in the Copper state; he leads Vice President Kamala Harris here.
But while the latest polling out of Arizona shows Trump holding a 3-point lead, it could be a red flag that Lake needs to step things up:
Emerson College, in conjunction with RealClearWorld, released their last polling on Tuesday, showing Trump leading Harris 50 percent to 47 percent in Arizona and 49 percent to 48 percent in North Carolina. The survey also showed the GOP’s Arizona Senate candidate, Kari Lake, trailing her challenger, Ruben Gallego, by a whopping eleven points

ANALYSIS: Returning to the Senate Races
Perhaps in support of reversing that trend, the Lake campaign has just dropped a devastating new ad, called “Without Question,” that irrevocably ties Gallego to Kamala Harris’ debacle in the White House, via his “no questions asked,” lock-step voting record for her failed policies.
Watch:
The ad starts by reminding voters of the “crushing inflation” that Americans are feeling under Harris, then points to Ruben Gallego’s vote for the so-called Inflation Reduction Act he helped to pass, calling it the “Kamala Inflation Act.” It goes on to list another terrible policy the congressman has stood with the Democrat presidential nominee on with his voting record, including the open border crisis that gives taxpayer dollars for “welfare” to illegal aliens.
This is a smart and focused ad from Lake, tying Gallego and most Democrats in battleground states to the mess of Harris over the past three-and-a-half years, on the two top issues polls show are of most concern for Americans and their families. Early voting in Arizona begins next week, as mail-in ballots start going out across the state. We’ll keep your posted.
