One of the big problems with Kamala Harris is how inauthentic she is.

No one is perfect, and everyone has flaws. But one of the things Americans like the least is people who are inauthentic. When it comes to politicians, Harris may be one of the phoniest in quite some time.

She’s given limited interviews — likely because every time she speaks, she tends to dig a bigger hole for herself.

But she did do an interview with the “All the Smoke” podcast with the hosts, two former NBA players, Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. Oh, and guess what? They sent her a list of “discussion topics.”

He said “All the Smoke” sent the candidate’s team a list of discussion topics before the hosts spoke with Ms. Harris at her Washington home.

To prepare for the interview, Mr. Barnes did research online and watched Ms. Harris’s recent conversation with Oprah Winfrey. The hosts chose topics they felt would be most applicable to their listeners and viewers, he said, skipping the wars in Gaza and Ukraine to focus on areas like the economy and historically Black colleges and universities. Mr. Jackson was a vocal activist during the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020 after the Minneapolis police killed his longtime friend George Floyd.

This was recorded at Harris’ home on September 24.

They started off talking aboutt her first date with Doug Emhoff and the Golden State Warriors.

They weren’t really asking policy questions as much as trying to have a conversation with her, including asking how she got the trust of her step-daughter and how she got the nickname “Momala.”

This was obviously designed to humanize her and make her seem more relatable. But it was just a boatload full of cackles and cringe. She just blathered on and on, I think I lost count of how many times she said you have to be “intentional” about dealing with kids. It was over and over and over again.

Listen as she talks about partying with her friend in her “father’s Seville.”

Oh and when you’re hiring a president what you really want to know is what snacks the person likes to eat. This is like Hillary Clinton’s hot sauce comment.

She was asked how a bill becomes a law, and she left out that the president has to sign it into law. She also said she thought there were no significant changes that had taken place without “the people taking to the streets” and she spoke about helping to write the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act and asserted that thousands marched “rightly.”

Yes, thanks for reminding us of how you promoted a bail fund for those arrested during the riots. She falsely claimed Trump was against “peaceful protest” through Project 2025. She just can’t stop lying about his position, and she was trying to fearmonger.

They did slip in some questions like here, asking her about her economic plan. You can see her taking all her strength not to say the words she was “born a middle class kid” but she talks all around it, and then says absolutely nothing beyond that she cares about “small business” over and over.

What about not spending more and driving inflation up? Her answer to everything is still “spend more.” She doesn’t even understand what she did was wrong.

More cringe:

Matt Barnes tries the polite chuckle, Stephen Jackson just stares.

I think that’s supposed to make her sound tough. It has the opposite effect.

They asked her about mental health and asked about her plans for that, and again, she talked a lot — but did not say anything about what she would do, just that we have to do “more.” She started saying “intentional” over and over again. She talks forever and says nothing.

In the whole time — almost an hour — she said a couple of things including a small business tax deduction and downpayment assistance for a first time home buyer. But in the meantime, she’s cost every family hundreds if not thousands more every month because she doesn’t understand basic economics — plus cost all of us so much more from the influx at the border. One of the reasons home ownership has become more difficult is because of inflation and the higher interest rates which the Biden-Harris actions prompted. Harris talks about saving, but she’s the one who has made it impossible for many to save because of the costs. So I don’t believe her, and I don’t believe she has any understanding about what the right thing to do is.

Her thoughts are all about government intervention and handouts, not about getting out of the way so people can be successful on their own. It’s a flawed way of looking at governance. She even did that “children of the community are the children of the community” thing again. No, if you have children, they do NOT belong to the community. The government is not their parent; the parents are the parents. She keeps revealing her radical leftist self, even as she tries to pitch as though she’s a moderate.

Harris said she didn’t think people should go to jail for weed, which was incredibly hypocritical, given her past history of locking up people for it. They did not bring up that past history.

She claimed she said a prayer every day and that the last thing she did each day was tell Doug she loved him. Does anyone believe this?

I have to say one of the weirdest responses was when she spoke about getting the call from Biden that he was going to be stepping aside. Her response is truly bizarre.

She went out and got a pork roast, just “got up and started cooking.” Again, does anyone even believe this?

I feel dumber for having listened.

I loved some of the comments on the YouTube that thought she was “goofy” or laughed at things that weren’t funny. She wasn’t getting over on them with this cringe.
