The Minnesota Vikings are on their way to their first 4-0 start since 2016 and hold a commanding 28-7 lead over their NFC North rival Green Bay Packers at halftime.

Minnesota built that lead using the same formula that helped the team secure wins in Weeks 1-3.

Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold went 11 of 15 for 136 yards and threw three touchdown passes. Receiver Jordan Addison rushed for another while Minnesota’s defense intercepted two of Packers quarterback Jordan Love’s passes in a dominant showing.

The only mistake Minnesota seemingly made in the first half was a muffed punt by Jalen Nailor with 50 seconds to play that gave the Packers the ball at the Minnesota 3.

The Packers would score off of the special teams miscue when Love connected with Jayden Reed to avoid a first-half shutout, but not before Packers coach Matt LaFleur was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct after arguing with officials over a timeout he attempted to call.

Love returned Sunday in his first start since suffering a knee injury in Week 1. He finished 12-of-24 for 118 yards, a touchdown and the two interceptions.
