A key factor in Art Sudham’s success in real estate has been her desire to support her family.

After starting her career in the consumer goods industry, she has become a top-performing real estate agent with Area Specialist in Melbourne’s south-east and it’s given her the ability to buy her dream family home for her son.

After seeing Michael Choi’s success in her local property market, Ms Sudham was inspired to make the switch to real estate.

She initially gained experience at another agency before joining the Area Specialist team.

“I live in Keysborough and I saw Michael had a lot of properties,” Ms Sudham said.

“I just asked around, how do I become a real estate agent?”

Now operating across Keysborough, Springvale, Springvale South and Noble Park, Ms Sudham specialises in houses, units and townhouses.

In recent years she has also expanded into project marketing for off-the-plan developments.

Ms Sudham made the move to Area Specialist’s unique model three years ago, initially with some hesitation.

“I was a bit unsure at the beginning, to be honest,” she said.

“I thought, wow, so this is going to be my own business – can I make it?”

However, the transition has paid off significantly for Ms Sudham with her seeing a big jump in income as well as gaining valuable business skills.

“I can say that we gain more knowledge about the business,” she said.

“You know how to manage yourself, your own time and everything.”

The flexibility of the Area Specialist model has allowed Ms Sudham to work on her own schedule while maintaining a high level of productivity.

She is currently selling around 50 properties per year and her business continues to expand.

“I’ve been working seven days a week for many months now,” she said.

“But every now and then, I take a break.”

Ms Sudham’s success with Area Specialist has enabled her to grow her personal wealth significantly.

She now owns four investment properties and recently moved into a new family home.

“I just moved into my new house,” she said.

“It’s the house that my son wants to have.”

Ms Sudham is also actively involved in the local community, sponsoring the South Springvale Football Club where her son plays.

For agents considering joining Area Specialist, Ms Sudham said the earning potential and lifestyle are great.

However, she said it requires dedication and hard work.

“I think it’s a good model and you will make very good money as a real estate agent,” she said.

“But again, it’s coming down to how hard you work.”

Area Specialist is a real estate platform for top-performing agents, providing the systems, tools and technology they need to create, grow and power their business. For more information visit beyourboss.com.au
