David Raya is an injury doubt for Arsenal’s Premier League match against Leicester City on Saturday.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper missed Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Bolton Wanderers in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday with a thigh issue, with 16-year-old Jack Porter deputising in his place.

Asked whether Raya would be fit to return to face Leicester, Mikel Arteta replied: “We don’t know yet.”

Raya played the full 90 minutes in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw at Manchester City last Sunday but was later seen leaving the Etihad Stadium with an apparent limp after picking up an issue during the game.

Summer signing Neto, who was cup-tied for Wednesday’s game having represented Bournemouth earlier in the competition, would be in line to make his Arsenal debut should Raya be unavailable.

Mikel Arteta named five teenagers, including 16-year-old Porter, as Arsenal beat League One Bolton to book their place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. They travel to Preston North End in the next round.

Arsenal are fourth in the table after Sunday’s draw at City having taken 11 points from their opening five fixtures.

The north London side welcome Paris Saint-Germain to the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday in matchday two of the Champions League before returning to Premier League action against Southampton a week on Saturday.
