Meta is launching a new VR app called Hyperscape that renders recreations of real-life spaces in high fidelity, so you can explore them while wearing a Quest headset.

Available in beta in the U.S., Hyperspace lets you use a phone to scan a room and then recreate it. Alternatively, you can step into a room that someone else has scanned and shared.

Onstage during Meta’s Connect 2024 conference today, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg showed a “hyperspace” of rock band Green Day’s studio. “It’s pretty wild, and we’re planning on just adding more and more over time,” he said.

Hyperspace is compatible with the Quest 3 and Quest 3S.
