Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has a sprained MCL, an MRI revealed Saturday, according to league sources. The injury occurred Friday in a game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Love is expected to miss weeks, not months, per a league source.

The injury occurred with five seconds left in the game as Love was under duress while trying to throw a Hail Mary. He landed awkwardly on his leg as he was brought down. Team doctor Pat McKenzie and trainer Nate Weir attended to Love and later helped him off the field.

In Green Bay’s 34-29 loss, Love went 17-of-34 passing for 260 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Last July, Love signed a four-year, $220 million extension, becoming the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL.
