Savills Australia and New Zealand has announced a new national Capital Markets team, with key appointments to enhance its capital transactions capabilities.

The Announcement:

Savills Australia and New Zealand is deepening its capital markets offering with the announcement of a new national Capital Markets team.

The strategic move is designed to enhance the agency’s capabilities in delivering unparalleled services in property transactions, capital movements, brokerage, and cross-border transactions.

Michael Pisano steps into the role of National Director, Capital Transactions, effective 1 October.

Mr Pisano takes this role from his previous position of National Director, Valuations and Advisory at Savills, bringing a wealth of experience and deep industry knowledge, having previously held senior agency and institutional client-side roles.

He joins Ben Azar, a long-standing senior leader in the Savills team recently promoted from State Director, Capital Transactions, to National Director.

Mr Azar has demonstrated an exceptional ability to navigate capital transaction complexities for a broad portfolio of national and institutional clients during his 20-year career.

The re-designed national Capital Markets team is supported by a broad spectrum of capabilities, leveraging the expertise of specialists including analyst Ruth Corby, and director, Adrian Bokolis.

Mr Bokolis is a key member of the Savills Global Cross Border Investments team – consisting of 23 specialists internationally that collaborate daily without borders.

Paul Craig, Chief Executive Officer at Savills Australia and New Zealand, said the new team represents a significant evolution in how they approach capital transactions.

“As the market becomes more globalised and sophisticated, so too does our strategy,” Mr Craig said.

“By harnessing the full breadth of Savills’ global capabilities, with dedicated local resources, we’re not only meeting the growing demands of our clients but providing them with the critical insights and depth of expertise they need to make informed decisions in an increasingly complex environment.”

Ben Azar, National Director, Capital Transactions at Savills Australia and New Zealand added that the initiative reflects months of strategic planning and a deep understanding of the capital markets across all sectors.

“By combining analytical rigor with Savills’ unparalleled global reach, we’re positioned to offer our clients best-in-class solutions,” Mr Azar said.

“Our approach ensures every client conversation is meaningful, with every decision supported by the finest expertise available here, and globally.”

Savills’ unique model offers clients a one-stop shop for accessing experts across geographies and sectors, through trusted and accountable single points of local contact.

The new structure streamlines processes and amplifies the firm’s ability to provide world-class service, cementing Savills’ position as a leader in the capital markets space.
