Chelsea winger Angelo Gabriel has joined Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr in a transfer worth around €23million (£19.4m).
The 19-year-old Brazilian has signed a five-year contract with the Saudi outfit — who are captained by Cristiano Ronaldo — 12 months after arriving in west London. The Premier League side retain a sell-on clause on any future sale as part of the agreement.
Chelsea signed the teenage winger from Santos for an undisclosed fee last summer. The terms of his Stamford Bridge deal were never announced.
The attacker spent the 2023-24 season loan at Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg, scoring four goals in 21 Ligue 1 outings.
Angelo becomes the 26th player to leave Stamford Bridge this summer on loan or a permanent basis as the west London club bid to end the transfer window with a zero net spend.
He made his professional debut in 2020, aged 15 years and 308 days, to become the youngest player in the history of the Brazilian top flight. He is also the youngest player to score in Copa Libertadores history, netting as a 16-year-old in 2021.
The Brazil youth international scored five goals in 129 games for Santos before making the switch to Chelsea.
At international level, he has played three times for Brazil Under-20s but is yet to receive a call-up to the senior team.
