Day 2 of the US Open brings the top half of the menâs and womenâs singles draws onto the court in Flushing Meadows.
Jannik Sinner, the menâs world No 1, plays for the first time since the ruling in his doping case was announced, and Carlos Alcaraz, who has won two of this yearâs three previous Grand Slams, also gets underway.
On the women’s side, world No. 1 and 2022 US Open champion Iga Swiatek, pictured, begins her tournament.
