Ford has issued a number of recalls of vehicle makes and models including:
- 2023 Bronco Sports
- 2022 Mavericks
- 2023-2024 Mavericks

- 2024 Lincoln Nautiluses

2023 Bronco Sport, 2023-2024 Maverick, 2023 Mustang Mach-E: Windshield Wiper Motor May Fail
Ford is recalling certain 2023-2024 Maverick, 2023 Ford Bronco Sport, and 2023 Mustang Mach-E vehicles. The front windshield wiper motor may become inoperative, causing the wipers to fail. An estimated 37,371 vehicles are included in this recall.
According to documents submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the supplier determined that the root cause was failure to correctly apply a sealer between the gear cover and gear housing.
As of July 15, 2024, Ford is aware of 81 global warranty reports with confirmed water intrusion into the wiper motor. The automaker is not aware of any reports of accident or injury related to the issue.
Dealers will inspect and replace the windshield wiper motor as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 26, 2024.
2022 Ford Maverick: Loss of Drive Power from Undetected Low Battery
Ford is recalling certain 2022 Maverick pickup trucks previously repaired under recall number 24V-267. Affected vehicles may have received an incomplete repair during the previous recall, according to NHTSA documents.
The body and power train control modules on the vehicles may fail to detect a change in the 12-volt battery state of charge.
If the battery suddenly degrades during a drive, it can lead to a vehicle that is unable to restart after an auto stop/start event or experience a stall while coming to a stop at low speed. Either of these conditions may be accompanied by a loss of 12-volt accessories, including hazard lights.
Affected vehicles are equipped with 2.0L gas engines. An estimated 757 vehicles are included in the recall.
Dealers will recalibrate the body control module and power train control module, free of charge. Owner notification letters for this recall are expected to be mailed Aug. 26, 2024.
2023-2024 Transit: Steering Column Assembled with Incorrect Bolt
Ford is also recalling certain 2023-2024 Transit vans. The steering column intermediate shaft may have been secured to the steering gear pinion shaft with an incorrect bolt, which can result in the separation of steering components and cause a loss of steering control.
An estimated 1,902 vehicles are affected. Those included in the recall are equipped with the Transit Trail package.
Dealers will replace the steering column intermediate shaft bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 9, 2024.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the issue.
2024 Ranger and 2024 Lincoln Nautilus: Power Windows May Pinch
Additionally, Ford is recalling certain 2024 Ranger and 2024 Lincoln Nautilus vehicles. When closing the windows with the global closing feature, the windows may not automatically reverse after detecting an object. An estimated 70,483 vehicles are included in the recall.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries as a result of this condition.
Dealers will update the driver door module (DDM) and the passenger door module (PDM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 23, 2024.
