Vice President Kamala Harris has been rather cagey when it comes to discussing her most current policy stances. However, the 2020 campaign showed that she is quite radical in her beliefs – especially when it comes to healthcare, an issue about which most Americans remain concerned.

In this episode of “A Fresh Perspective with Jeff Charles,” I critique Harris’s healthcare policies, particularly her previous support for Bernie Sanders’s Medicare for All plan. These policies would lead to a complete government takeover of health insurance, pushing the United States closer to a single-payer system, which would eliminate private insurance as we know it while reducing healthcare choices.

Government-run systems in other countries often result in long waiting times and subpar care. One only needs to look at how socialist healthcare systems function in places like the United Kingdom and Canada.

Harris also once supported taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal immigrants, an issue that would offend many hardworking Americans.

Of course, the real solution would be reducing government involvement in healthcare and increasing individual control through solutions like health savings accounts.
