The Doña Ana County Board of County Commissioners will conduct interviews this weekend for the open county manager position.
The county recently announced four finalists for the position and the public is encouraged to take part in the process.
The Board of County Commissioners will host the finalists for the county manager position for two days Aug. 9 and Aug. 10.

On Aug. 9, the Board will conduct interviews in closes session from 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. at the Doña Ana County Government Center. Then from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., each finalist will present a 15-minute presentation in open session.

On Aug. 10, there will be two community meetings across the county. Residents are encouraged to submit their questions beforehand for the candidates through the County’s website. All questions will be reviewed by the county commissioners and considered during the interview process.
The first meeting will be at the Doña Ana County Government Center from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. There will be a question and answer session from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a meet-and-greet.
The second meeting will be at Doña Ana County No. 2 in Anthony from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with a question and answer session from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The county hopes to identify a candidate to move forward at its Aug. 13 meeting with a potential contract approval by the end of August.
