Eric Trump doesn’t seem very happy that his cousin is endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, based on the social media post he made in response to the news.
On Tuesday, Fred Trump III ― the son of Donald Trump’s late brother Fred Trump Jr. ― officially announced his support for Harris over his uncle on “The View.”
“I believe in policy over politics. And without question, Kamala Harris’ policies are what I get behind, so I will be voting for Kamala Harris,” Trump said to much studio applause. He added that he would “campaign for her without hesitation” if asked.
Fred Trump III has been on the media circuit recently to promote his new memoir, “All in the Family: The Trumps and How We Got This Way,” in which he accuses the former president of using racial slurs and alleges that he suggested letting mentally and physically disabled people “just die.” Fred’s son William is disabled. A spokesperson for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has denied his nephew’s claims.
Not surprisingly, Eric Trump found Fred’s endorsement of Harris to be an act of family disloyalty, and took to X, formerly Twitter, to express his chagrin:
“It’s disappointing that after decades of unwavering love, support, golf memberships, family vacations and millions of dollars in support for his wonderful son, Fred Trump has decided to ‘cash in’ less than a 100 days before an election.“I have signed the checks and witnessed first-hand as my father, and our family, has provided endless financial support so that Fred’s son could receive the best possible medical care.“To read this garbage and see that he has now followed his troubled sister [Mary Trump] simply earn a quick buck is disgusting, disheartening and a prime example of ‘no good deed goes unpunished’.”

Eric’s tirade attracted a lot of attention, a little bit of pity, and a supersized portion of snark.
Thank you for verifying his statement. We already know how deeply broken your father is.

Tell us you expect obedience for gifts without telling us you expect obedience for gifts.

Trump told Fred to let his disabled son die and move to Florida. Eric must have missed that part (also hilarious golf memberships matter) https://t.co/NOR6X7RwNa

One thing in the post that really got attention was the implication that golf memberships are a love language in the Trump family.
If you had read me “decades of unwavering love, support….” It would have taken me decades to guess “golf memberships” as the next thing on that list https://t.co/qoD48zcyiX

How many golf memberships would it take you to endorse fascism?
Me? I don’t golf. So democracy all the way. 🤣— Bunny 🐇 (@ponygalcurtis) July 31, 2024
Golf memberships? No, not golf memberships. Pfft. Your dad said your relative’s son was better off dead because of the cost, so you can take whatever you just wrote and go fvck yourself. Aren’t you busy stealing from children’s charities? I’m sorry, children cancer charities. pic.twitter.com/OGTDR9V8tv
