Following the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump, country music stars spoke to thousands of their fans during their individual concerts about the tragic incident.
Country musician Jason Aldean is a friend of Trump, who released a song called “Try That in a Small Town,” which was a big hit and became his first number-one on the country charts since 2014.
He performed the song during his concert and dedicated it to Trump:

He posted this statement on Instagram:
This is what a Warrior looks like! This is MY guy 🇺🇸. @realdonaldtrump we are thinking about u and praying for you and your family. God has a bigger plan for you my friend and I think we all know what that is by now. My heart goes out to the victims families as well. They are the ones left to pick up the pieces of this cowardly act.

Aldean wasn’t the only one speaking up about the attempted assassination. Star Luke Bryan had this to say during his concert on Saturday in Cincinnati, Ohio:
“Have y’all seen the pictures? It was a crazy day.” He then led the crowd in chanting, “USA, USA.”

Travis Tritt took to X, praying for Trump after he was shot at:

Another country music star, Cody Johnson, had this to say about the shooting during his concert in Chicago, Illinois:
The fact that any American citizen would think that what they did today would solve a problem in this country is absolutely disgusting. You want to solve a problem in this country? On Election Day, go in there and vote for who you want.
He then spoke about the division in the country:
I’m tired of the hatred. I’m tired of the division. I’m tired of people talking about Trump and Biden. There’s people in this crowd that agree with Trump. There’s people in this crowd that agree with Biden. Guess what. That is your God-given American right to believe whatever you want.

Country singers have mixed opinions about politicians and policies, but when it came to the former president being nearly assassinated, all that was put aside; musicians such as Johnson and Aldean came together and spoke out to thousands of fans in the crowd to make people understand that the current rhetoric is dangerous, as we saw, and cost one person their life.
