Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki and her husband, two-time NBA All-Star David Lee, have sold their ultra-luxurious Miami penthouse for US$37 million.
The sale, completed with an undisclosed buyer, comes six months after the couple initially listed the property for US$42.5 million, according to Architectural Digest.
Despite not securing their full asking price, Wozniacki and Lee nearly doubled their investment, having purchased the penthouse in 2021 for US$18.7 million following the birth of their first child, Olivia.
Situated atop the opulent Palazzo Del Sol building on Fisher Island, one of the nation’s most exclusive locales, the penthouse offers unparalleled luxury.
Fisher Island is accessible only by ferry and has previously been home to notable figures such as Oprah Winfrey, the Vanderbilts, and Julia Roberts.
The former residence of Wozniacki and Lee spans 650sq m of interior space and boasts an additional 464sq m of outdoor space across two expansive terraces.
One terrace offers a panoramic waterfront view, while the other features a fire pit and hot tub.
The five-bedroom abode is adorned with high-end features, including custom marble media walls, double-height ceilings, white oak floors, and a bespoke chef’s kitchen outfitted with premium German stainless steel appliances and an Art Deco-inspired island and hood.
The couple’s budget-less renovation transformed the initially raw space into a luxurious haven.
Notable amenities include a Bang & Olufsen sound system, a wine room, and a smart home technology setup that controls glass doors and terrace access.
The residence also boasts a private rooftop pool, kitchen, and stunning views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline.
Wozniacki, who has been ranked world number one in singles several times, returned to professional tennis in June 2023 after retiring in 2020.
She is currently competing in the Bad Homburg Open in Germany, slated as a wildcard for Wimbledon, and will represent Denmark in the upcoming Olympics.
Dina Goldentayer at Douglas Elliman handled the listing.
