Jamaica fell to a 1-0 loss against Mexico in their opening game on Saturday.
A relatively even first half was punctuated by a tournament-ending injury to Mexico’s Edson Alvarez.
The second half saw chances for both sides. Jamaica thought they had taken the lead through Michail Antonio five minutes after the break, but his goal was disallowed for offside by VAR.
Mexico began to create more chances, and eventually broke through in the 69th minute through Gerardo Arteaga.
