As a quick visual palate cleanser, we’re offering this meditation on some of the world’s most symmetrical buildings. If Wes Anderson is reading this, we can only hope his eye for rigor and symmetry will be delighted by our curation. Just like the sets used for his shoots—think of the impressive Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) or the lighthouse in Moonrise Kingdom (2012)—some constructions are particularly satisfying for the visual perfection they offer, often down to the smallest detail. We think these nine buildings have a similar quality.
