The order for the first two rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft is now set following the Eagles’ blowout Super Bowl LIX win over the Chiefs. The order for picks 1-18 was determined by regular-season records (and using various tiebreakers), while picks 19-32 depended on playoff results.
The first tiebreaker for Round 1 draft positioning is strength of schedule, with the advantage given to the team that played an easier schedule. Other tiebreakers, if necessary, include divisional and conference records and head-to-head results.
Any order reliant on tiebreakers then cycles in subsequent rounds — this year, for example, the 3-14 Titans pick ahead of the 3-14 Browns and 3-14 Giants in Round 1; the Browns then have the first pick of Round 2 (followed by the Giants); and the Giants have the first pick of Round 3.
The remainder of the 2025 draft order (Rounds 3 through 7) will be finalized sometime in the coming weeks when the NFL releases its list of compensatory picks. The San Francisco 49ers (DeMeco Ryans/Ran Carthon), Los Angeles Rams (Raheem Morris) and Detroit Lions (Aaron Glenn) are guaranteed third-round comp picks, as all three had minority coach or GM candidates hired by other organizations in recent offseason cycles.
The order for Rounds 1 and 2:

2. Cleveland Browns (3-14)
