BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two people were seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash in West Seneca early Sunday night, said West Seneca Police Lieutenant Jonathan Luterek.
According to Luterek, both vehicles were believed to be driving eastbound on Clinton Street approaching Borden Road when a Toyota RAV4, driven by a 48-year-old male, appeared to rear-end a minivan, driven by a 78-year-old female.
The striking vehicle flipped over and landed in the northwest part of the intersection of Clinton Street and Borden Road and the minivan landed in a collision shop parking lot, where it struck several vehicles, Luterek said.
Both drivers were taken to ECMC with serious injuries.
As of Sunday night, an accident investigation unit remains on the scene and police are asking people to avoid the area.
