We spend a lot of time at AD in pursuit of quality sleep. Over (five!) years of testing product for Sleep Week, we’ve narrowed down the best pajama sets that make great looking sleep possible. We’re always after long-lasting but stylish options made from high-quality materials like bamboo and linen at realistic prices. And while that might seem like a lot of parameters for sleepwear, we were able to narrow it down to our 10 favorite sets from across the internet.

The following picks run the gamut from comfy, warm, wicking, from long-sleeve pajamas to short sets, and from pima cotton to washable silk. Which is to say: We’ve left nothing out. And if you’re a hoodie-and-sweats to bed kind of person, we strongly encourage you to mix it up—take a walk on the silky or matching set side. Scroll below for every pajama set our editors stand by and sleep in.

Our Top Picks for the Best Pajama Sets:

The only thing better than silk is washable silk. The magic behind this set is its 100% mulberry silk design, which keeps you feeling cool, clean, and rich all night long. “Whenever I slip on this set I can’t help but feel like it’d be more at home in a coastal Italian hotel than in my NYC apartment,” shares commerce editor Audrey Lee. Eberjey has, in her opinion, “the best printed silk pj’s,” and she says the short set works perfectly for her petite frame.

  • Material: 100% Machine Washable Silk
  • Sizes available: Sizes XS–XL
  • Hand wash or machine wash in cold water separately, in delicate cycle.

Cozy Earth Bamboo Long Sleeve Pajama Set

This long-sleeve set from Cozy Earth is impossibly soft, according to senior commerce editor Nashia Baker. Made from 95% premium viscose from bamboo and 5% spandex, she notes that this soft stretch-knit leans cozy over crisp without bringing the heat.

  • Material: 95% Premium viscose from bamboo, 5% spandex
  • Sizes available: Sizes XS–XXXL
  • Machine wash cold with normal detergent. Machine dry normal.

LilySilk Long Silk Pajamas Set

According to commerce editor Audrey Lee, “These pj’s are as classic as you can get.” This silky button-down set gives a classy one-up on your worn-out plaid pj’s. The V-neck notched collar gives them a sophisticated spin, so you can feel extra professional during your Saturday morning crossword. Lee says, “They usually see the most action in fall/spring when I’m looking for a light layer/not ready to transition into shorts and a tee for bedtime.”

  • Material: 100% Silk
  • Sizes available: Sizes XS–XL

Commerce writer Julia Harrison has owned this Tekla set since 2021 and even now, the separates don’t show any wear thanks to their high-quality, 100% organic cotton. These are true Danish pajamas, with minimalist designs and a boxy fit that you can wear to brunch or in bed. As Harrison notes, “I’m 5’3″ and sort of drown in these, but in a way that looks, to me, like I’m a messy bun kind of business woman enjoying a relaxing weekend in Copenhagen.” Another win for these pj’s is their genderless design—the fit and colorways are meant to appeal to everyone.

  • Material: 100% organic cotton
  • Sizes available: Sizes XS–XL

Machine wash on low heat with a mild detergent and air dry to preserve the fabric. You can also tumble dry on low heat.

Boll & Branch Signature Long Sleeve & Pants Pajama Set

This Boll & Branch set stands apart because of a unique double-button detail and eyelet hemstitching. These are 100% organic cotton pajamas, which means they’re moisture-wicking and wear well with lots of washing. The bracelet sleeve length makes them appear tailored, elevated, and stylish enough that you could take a Zoom call in these without raising eyebrows. Commerce director Rachel Fletcher has been wearing these for over two years—a convert from a T-shirt-and-shorts sleeper—and describes them as “very classic American style–would fit right in on the Vineyard or in a Nancy Meyers movie. With the hemstitch trim, they feel elegant.”

  • Material: 100% organic cotton
  • Sizes available: Sizes XS–XXL

Machine wash cold with like colors, inside out on gentle cycle. Tumble dry on low.

Laurent Cerulean Blue Pajamas by Olivia Von Halle

There are fun pajama sets, and then there are forever pajama sets. This classic style is made from 100% silk, and upon testing the cerulean wash with red piping, commerce writer Julia Harrison says the pair is “unforgettable” in her review. “The silk was so breathable and luxurious, and the material feels impossibly high-quality, like a million silk worms made it just for you,” she adds. While it’s most definitely a splurge, it’s a worthwhile one—the second these touch your hands, you know you made the right choice.

  • Material: 100% silk
  • Sizes available: Sizes XS–L

The brand recommends dry cleaning or hand washing at 30 degrees with a specialist silk detergent. They also recommend ironing on a cool setting.

More Pajamas We Love

Lunya Washable Silk Tulip Back Set

Hot sleepers know it’s hard to find pajamas that don’t make you sweat. This cami and short set has a cute feel without going full lingerie, and it makes for a sweat-free sleep situation. Lee calls the quality “top-notch,” and after washing this set many times over the years (cold water and mild detergent only!), she says “they’ve held up wonderfully.” Not to mention, you’ll look and feel adorable making your morning coffee.

  • Material: 100% mulberry silk
  • Sizes available: Sizes XS–XL

Hand or machine wash cold. Lay flat to dry.

Lounge Long Sleeve Shirt by Bed Threads

For a laidback, off-the-clock set, look to this 100% flax linen loungewear set from Bed Threads. The relaxed fit and breezy texture feel just like a worn-in, familiar set of sheets straight out the gate, according to associate commerce director Lori Keong. Linen can sometimes lean scratchy and wrinkly, but the texture felt just right for wearing inside or outside the house. Her one caveat? The sizing feels way off unless you tend to go oversized for sleepwear. If you’re petite like her, we’d suggest sizing down.

  • Material: 100% French flax linen
  • Sizes available: Sizes S–XXXL

Matouk Nocturne Pajama Set

The classic pajama set just never goes out of style. This crisp set—and Matouk bestseller!—looks put together but feels cozy, and it is perfectly suited to a high-powered person in need of a hard snooze. Commerce writer Julia Harrison found these to be “structured but still soft, breathable, and cooling.” They don’t just look nice, they are nice. With a 600-thread-count Egyptian cotton sateen, you can still throw them in the wash—because there will be stains when you start to live in these pj’s.

  • Material: Nocturne 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sateen
  • Sizes available: Sizes XS–XL

Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Tumble dry low heat.

Knix Modal Long Sleeve Sleep Set

These are slightly stretchy, on account of their modal makeup, and closer to athleisure than some of our other picks, making them some of the best pajamas for women who have previously considered themselves T-shirt sleepers. For Baker, a cold sleeper, “this pair of pj’s has been a welcome treat for chilly NYC winter nights. I feel warm without overheating every time I wear them. Plus, the plush feel and relaxed fit make this set my go-to for lounging around the house.”

  • Material: 96% Modal, 4% Spandex
  • Sizes available: Sizes XS–XXXXL

Machine wash cold with mild detergent on delicate, tumble dry low.

How We Tested the Best Pajama Sets

We selected pj’s from our favorite brands as well as those new to us in order to get a feel for the current market. We wanted to trial a variety of fabrics, brands, and silhouettes to cover the sleepwear landscape, as well as evaluate the quality difference between price points, synthetic versus organic materials, and generally get to the bottom of who’s making great pajamas in 2025. We slept in these selects night after night to get a real feel for the sleepwear, and washed each pair at least once to see how they held up. We kept an eye out for how their shape or texture might change and included those specs in our reviews.
