A 23-year-old woman was shoved into the side of a train as it pulled into a Washington Heights station Monday morning in the city’s latest unprovoked subway attack, the NYPD said.
The victim apparently never saw her attacker, who came up and pushed her as an uptown A train roared into the the 175th St. stop about 9:05 a.m., police said. After slamming into the moving train, she stumbled backward and fell onto the platform.
Medics from the scene took her Mount Sinai Morningside to be treated for bruises to her face, hands, knees and shoulder.
Her attacker got away on the same A train he shoved her against but by then witnesses had snapped his photo and showed it to police, allowing for a quick description to be put out.
The 26-year-old suspect was nabbed by cops just one stop away at the 81st St. station. Charges against him were pending.
