What do you think about football introducing blue cards and sin bins?

A blue card is set to be introduced in football, with the recipient receiving a 10-minute sin-bin during which they will not be allowed on the pitch.

The card will only be awarded for fouls that deliberately stop an attack or for dissent towards match officials. A player will be shown a red card if they are awarded two blue cards or if they receive a yellow and blue card.

The move comes as The International Football Association Board (IFAB) attempts to clamp down on cynical fouls and dissent in the game.

The new card could be trialled in next season’s FA Cup, but it will not be used in the 2024-25 Premier League campaign.

What are your thoughts on this sizeable development in the game? Are you open to the idea or totally against it? Have your say below.
