Once upon a time, before the media decided to turn former President Donald Trump into the next Hitler, the evil orange man who was going to destroy democracy, they used to report favorably on him. They recognized some of the good things that he did.
But he’s still doing those things, whether they recognize it or not.
Take the letter he sent to Liam, a little, eight-year-old New York boy with a rare brain disorder and growth hormone deficiency. Trump found out Liam was a fan so he sent him a letter wishing him a happy birthday and sending his support. Warning, this may make you cry:

Check out that grin as he realizes what it is. Then his emotions overwhelm him.
It said:
Dear Liam,
Happy 8th birthday. Mrs. Trump and I hope you enjoy this special occasion surrounded by the love of your family and friends. We are so encouraged by the strength and determination you have shown throughout your young life, and send our love and best wishes to you as you continue to fight. Remember, you are never alone and we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers for continued care and good health.
May God bless you and your family. Stay strong.

His mother asked if he could tell who signed it, and he said, “Donald Trump.”
“What do you say?” she asked.
Liam was so sweet, saying “Thank you” and “I love you” to Trump, also in sign language.
The letter was sent to podcaster Kevin Smith, who said the family sent it to him and Trump didn’t want credit for it.
What was also pretty cute was the little Trump fan was wearing a shirt that said, “It’s a Donnie Thing, you just wouldn’t understand.” So, the family just knew it would give him a smile.
It’s that humanity that people forget about Trump, in that continuing attempt to dehumanize him. It’s like going out from behind the bulletproof glass during a rally, not long after he had been shot at the Butler rally. He wanted to reach out to an elderly fan who felt faint during the event because of the heat. He just went right up to the crowd in order to be able to wish her well and give her a hug:
