Wisconsin football added a commitment on Wednesday from Remington Moss, a cornerback in the 2025 class from Fredericksburg, Va. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Moss earned 27 scholarship offers and took recent visits to Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and South Carolina before visiting Wisconsin last weekend for one of the school’s summer junior days events.
  • One of his cousins was the late Brent Moss, who played running back at Wisconsin and was the Big Ten player of the year in 1993, as well as the MVP of the 1994 Rose Bowl.
  • Moss finished his sophomore season with 16 pass breakups, five interceptions and one touchdown.
  • Though unranked in the 247Sports Composite for now, Moss is rated as a three-star recruit and No. 12 player in Virginia by Rivals.

What does this mean for Wisconsin?

Wisconsin’s “Bucky’s BBQ” event, which was held over the weekend and brought 11 uncommitted recruits in the 2025 class to campus, already is paying dividends. Moss is a 6-foot-2 and 175-pound corner from St. Michael the Archangel Catholic who becomes the second Badgers commitment for 2025, joining quarterback Landyn Locke.

Moss initially earned a scholarship offer from Wisconsin under the previous coaching staff in late November, just before Luke Fickell was hired. The Badgers’ new staff continued to recruit him, maintaining its priority of pursuing bigger-bodied defensive backs. Moss has the potential to play cornerback or safety for Wisconsin.
