The odds for NFL preseason Week 2 have been posted at BetMGM. The Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles get the second full week of preseason started on Thursday night on NFL Network. Most games are on Saturday this week, with two games on Friday and one on Sunday and Monday each.
Generally, the totals for this week’s games are higher than the first week with starters expected to play more than they did in Week 1.
One game I’ll be keeping an eye on is the Colts-Bears game with Anthony Richardson at quarterback for the Colts. He’s been named the Week 1 starter and it’ll be interesting to see how he does in his first game with that role secured and as he adjusts to the NFL.
The Chiefs are favored by 7.5 points against the Cardinals in their matchup Saturday. It’ll be interesting to see how the Chiefs deal with the field conditions at State Farm Stadium. Arizona hosted the Broncos last week and the field didn’t look good for either team. Kansas City struggled with slipping in the Super Bowl and saw kicker Harrison Butker and cornerback Trent McDuffie both hurt their ankles in their Week 1 matchup last year.
Rookie Cleveland quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson continues to impress. He’s 17-for-21 for 184 yards and two touchdowns in two preseason games. He’s also rushed for 47 yards. The Browns probably shouldn’t be this big of an underdog against the Eagles.
A handful of games will be aired live on NFL Network, while other games will be live on NFL+. If you live in an NFL market, those games are carried by local TV affiliates. Monday’s game between the Ravens and Commanders will air on ESPN.
