A man has been charged after the home of Raheem Sterling was broken into during the World Cup in Qatar.
The 28-year-old Chelsea player was away with the England squad at the tournament at the time and returned home.
Surrey Police said Emiliano Krosi, 23, from Southend-on-Sea, has been charged with 33 offences of conspiracy to commit burglary.
One count relates to the burglary of Sterling’s property in Oxshott, Elmbridge, which was reported on December 3 2022.
Sterling’s fiancee and children were not at the property at the time of the incident.
Having left the England camp in Doha, Qatar, to travel back to the UK after the break-in, Sterling later returned to the squad and played the last ten minutes of his side’s 2-1 World Cup quarter-final defeat to France.
