President Joe Biden wasted no time in fundraising off Donald Trump’s Thursday arrest in Fulton County, Georgia, posting on the social media platform X, “Apropos of nothing, I think today’s a great day to give to my campaign.”
Underneath a glowing picture of Biden and the vice president, there is a link to a donation page with the message, “Donate to reelect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Pitch in to help deliver Joe and Kamala for four more years in the White House.”

“Let’s finish the job! – Joe,” reads a cursive script exhortation from the president. To many, “the job” appears to be destroying this country, opening our borders, wrecking our economy, and killing our energy independence. The last thing we want to see is Joe Biden finishing the job.
“Apropos of nothing.” Ah, the humor of that noted comedian, Joe Biden! Except we know it is not the president who wrote those words—it was probably White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre once again.
Biden, of course, is off on vacation for the umpteenth time and is busy entertaining First Lady Jill Biden, daughter Ashley, his son, Hunter, Hunter’s wife, Melissa Cohen, Hunter’s son, Beau, and other grandchildren at an $18-million mansion owned by billionaire Tom Steyer. No time to compose tweets when you’re living the high life.
The post comes as Trump’s mugshot was released Thursday night. As we’ve reported, he and 18 others have been charged by Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis on a variety of charges regarding alleged subversion of the 2020 presidential election.
It’s concerning when the White House has time to mock Biden’s chief rival’s legal troubles while their response to the devasting Maui wildfires was flat-footed and cold-hearted, and the president was too busy at a spa to pay attention to the fact that Wagner Group warlord Yevgeny Prigozhin had just been obliterated in a plane crash—possibly at the behest of Russian strongman Vladimir Putin.

However, Trump has now been arrested four times by crusading Democrats and holds no elected office at this time. Biden, meanwhile, is the leader of the most powerful nation on earth and oversees what is the most hyper-politicized, partisan Department of Justice our nation has ever seen, and it’s a whole lot more unseemly—creepy, really—to see him attempt to collect cash by celebrating the mockery he has brought upon our judicial system.
True, the Fulton County case was not the product of Attorney General Merrick Garland; however, House Oversight Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has just announced he’s investigating whether Fani Willis coordinated with the DOJ.
You don’t have to be a fan of Donald Trump to be concerned with what’s happening here. Myself and other writers across many other publications frequently return to the phrase “banana republic.” It’s not because we’re lazy; it’s because it’s the best description of what we’re seeing—we’re watching in real-time the descent of our country into third-world status.
