Dakota Johnson’s latest appearance demonstrates the power of the little black dress in a silhouette that’s summer-appropriate.

At a star-studded event to celebrate the 160th anniversary of Martini in Milan, the Hollywood star dished up a monochromatic ensemble that was very Italian chic. The va va voom look comprised a figure-hugging black satin Versace dress—from the brand’s autumn/winter 2023 show in Los Angeles earlier this year (although slightly modified from what was seen on the runway). Johnson topped it all off with a Serpenti pavé-set diamond and white gold cuff bracelet and diamond earrings, all by Bulgari, as well as a black leather pair of Versace pointed-toe slingbacks (a shoe style that’s everywhere this summer thanks to the likes of Gigi Hadid). Overall, the mood was Monica Bellucci with an edge.
