Kolter Homes, the leader in developing next-generation, highly amenitized, master-planned active adult communities in the Southeastern U.S., is pleased to commemorate the 6th anniversary of Cresswind Charlotte’s opening for sales by celebrating the community’s 600th closing. Since its debut in July 2017, the 55+ active adult community, ideally located just 13 miles east of Charlotte’s City Center, has experienced remarkable success.

“We’re thrilled with the enthusiasm for Cresswind Charlotte and look forward to continued positive momentum as we work toward the successful build-out of this award-winning community,” said Michael McLendon, Regional Vice President, Kolter Homes. “Marking our 6th anniversary by welcoming our 600th household to the community is something special that our entire team is proud to be a part of.”

Location has always been a huge benefit for home shoppers considering Cresswind Charlotte. Two minutes from the 485 loop and neighboring the new Novant Medical Center, residents can reach downtown and many of Charlotte’s major points of interest in 30 minutes or less.

“While location was the original draw,” shares McLendon, “today it is also the spirit of community and lifestyle program that are inspiring folks to make the move to Cresswind Charlotte. Just last month, we were named the ‘Active Adult Community of the Year’ by the Home Builders Association of Greater Charlotte.”

An 18,000-square-foot clubhouse enhances the Cresswind Charlotte experience. This resident-exclusive facility features a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and pickleball courts, a bocce ball court, community garden, dog park and a full-time Lifestyle Director. Residents have endless opportunities for socializing, enrichment and staying active through various special interest clubs, fitness programs, continued learning and engaging social activities.

Set on 370 acres of picturesque woodlands, Cresswind Charlotte features two collections of one-story homes designed for active adults that start in the $400,000s. Each low-maintenance home incorporates Comfort Home Design, showcasing top-quality brands and energy-efficient features. Homes offer open Great Room designs, gourmet kitchens, expansive primary baths, and optional second-floor bonus rooms, providing residents with the perfect balance of style and functionality.

The Cresswind Charlotte Model Park is located at 8913 Silver Springs Court, Charlotte, NC 28215, and decorated models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. To learn more about this thriving 55+ community and schedule a tour, please visit CresswindCharlotte.com.

Cresswind Charlotte is proud to have received the Active Adult Community of the Year accolades at the 2023 MAME awards presented by the Home Builders Association of Greater Charlotte (HBAGC). This recognition reflects the community’s outstanding overall neighborhood design, unique design features, and implementation and creativity. Other accolades include Top 100 Places to Live from Ideal Living Magazine in 2021 and Best Community Amenity in the 2020 HBAGC Mame awards.
