The details: In 2020, Frédéric Aubé founded Cozey with modular sofas and sectionals packaged in boxes that you can conveniently carry in right from your doorstep (and they don’t take months to be delivered!). The sofas are designed with simplicity as the motivational factor so you can experience headache-free deliveries and installation with a self-run and retail-independent model. Cozey’s offerings include sofas, U-sectionals, L-sectionals, and outdoor couches, but if you’re looking to build out your home even more, the brand also manufactures tables, shelving, and washable rugs.

The Cozey Atmosphere 3-Seater Sectional comes in eight configurations. There’s U-Shaped designs, right and left facing chaise sectionals, and more with prices ranging from $2,230–$4,180+, depending on whether you want something armless or with two arms. Payment plans are available through Affirm.
What are the upholstery or customization options? Did you choose any?
You can order the Cozey Atmosphere 3-Seater Sectional in eight configurations that include U-shapes, right and left facing chaise sectionals, as well as armless, left arm, right arm, and two-armed designs. There are nine colorways available, including silver, gray, tan, copper, cream, pink, midnight blue, and black. I chose the midnight blue color option in a 3-seater armless sectional with additional ottoman.
What is the lead time for customization, manufacturing, and delivery?
The brand requires around 1-2 weeks for manufacturing and delivery. Depending on the shipping location, this time could be longer.

What was the delivery process like?
Timing of the delivery was initially a bit overwhelming. I ordered the 3-seater armless sectional and there were eight large boxes delivered to my driveway. With that many boxes arriving at one time, I’d definitely recommend keeping track of the shipment alert so you can have a plus one or neighbor help carry them inside. From the time I placed my order, I waited around one and a half weeks for delivery.
What was the assembly process like? How long did it take and how many people?
It was initially challenging to get all of the boxes inside and into the living room, but once that was completed, unwrapping the boxes was fun (felt like Christmas). Each box is labeled (i.e. “left back rest”, “armless base,” etc.) so you know exactly what part of the sectional that specific box contains. A friend and I were able to get all the boxes unwrapped and in their place within an hour.
After installation
What are the dimensions? How does it fit in your space? Would it be better suited for a different type of home?
The dimensions of this sectional are roughly 28.3″H x 110.6″W x 40.6″D. I moved into a new studio apartment with an alcove space on the third floor and wanted to create an additional lounge area for my guests, family, and visitors. The couch can comfortably fit three people and the thick seat cushions are snooze-inducing. However, the dimensions made the sectional quite overwhelming in my modest alcove, so I would recommend the Atmosphere collection to anyone that has reasonably high ceilings and ample square footage to accommodate such a piece.
