Henrik Vibskov
Tomatoes served as Vibskov’s unlikely starting point for this season. The Danish designer had been thinking both about the impact global warming is having on their production and the humble fruit’s vast cultural connotations. In a 20-minute act (Vibskov originally showed the collection during Paris men’s fashion week as a presentation but wanted to expand it for the home crowd) models wandered around a set featuring tomato trees raised and lowered by attendants. Natty knitwear featuring vintage tinned tomato prints were an instant hit as were the vibrant pleated dresses.
