West Virginia at No. 7 Penn State
This is the old Eastern rivals’ first meeting since 1992. Penn State owns a 48-9-2 advantage in the series.
WVU hasn’t won in State College since 1954, which is also the last time it beat a Penn State team ranked in the top 10. A ranked Penn State team has never lost to an unranked WVU team.
WVU hasn’t won a true road game against an AP top-10 opponent since a 41-27 win at No. 9 Oklahoma in 1982.
Colorado at No. 17 TCU
Colorado hasn’t won a road game against a team ranked in the AP top 20 since a 31-17 win at No. 20 UCLA in 2002.
TCU owns a nine-game winning streak against Pac-12/10 opponents dating back to a 2003 win at Arizona. It last lost to a Pac-12/10 opponent in 1999 against Arizona.
Colorado, which will rejoin the Big 12 next year, is 0-3 against the Big 12 since leaving it, including a 38-13 loss to TCU last September.
No. 3 Ohio State at Indiana
Ohio State has won 28 games in a row against Indiana by an average of 22.9 points, dating back to a 27-27 tie in 1990. Since 1951, the Hoosiers’ only two wins against the Buckeyes came in consecutive years in 1987-88.
Indiana is 1-68 all time against AP top-five opponents, beating only No. 3 Purdue in 1967.

Boise State is 12-7 against Pac-12/10 opponents since 2004, including a 2-3 mark against Washington.
The Broncos are 4-3 against teams ranked in the AP top 10.
No. 5 LSU vs. No. 8 Florida State
This is the 11th meeting between the Tigers and Seminoles but the first in which both are ranked in the AP top 10 — and only the third that both are ranked at the time of the game, period. No. 12 LSU did beat No. 7 Florida State 55-21 in 1982.
No. 9 Clemson at Duke
Duke has lost 28 games in a row against AP top-10 teams by an average of 34.6 points dating back to a 21-17 win against No. 7 Clemson in 1989. Among Power 5 teams, only Wake Forest (1946) has gone longer without a win against an AP top-10 team.
