The details: Castlery is a Singapore-based furniture brand that claims to use lasting materials and centers kids in its marketing. Founded in 2016, Castlery uses a design language that’s “universal” to fit into a variety of homes. All of its products are designed in-house and manufactured in China and Southeast Asia.

The chair is only available in the teddy material with a light wood base, but comes in white and brown upholstery.
What is the lead time for customization, manufacturing, and delivery?
The lead time for delivery is about a month.
After delivery
What are the dimensions? How does it fit in your space? Would it be better suited for a different type of home?
The Sherpa Chair measures about 29.3″H x 31.1″W x 37″D. The actual seat dimensions clock in at 16.7″H x 29.5″W x 23.6″D. I just moved into a spacious new apartment, and this chair fills one corner of my living room perfectly; it’s great for a little reading nook. This chair is not for tiny apartments.
Sit Test: Is it comfortable? Does it feel well made? Does the chair have a tendency to sag?
This chair is so comfortable and feels very well-made. It hasn’t sagged for me; it’s springy and really nice to sit on. I do wonder if it might sag over a few years of use, but think it will hold up well if used occasionally.
Is the chair suitable for particular decor styles and if so, which?
It sort of gestures at MCM design, but I think it’s true to Castlery’s nonspecific style—it would work in a bunch of different setups. I have a post-modern vibe going on and worried that this chair might clash with the rest of my furniture, but it blends in well and doesn’t look out of place. The only reason it’s not perfect is that boucle is a bit of a trendy material—I have a hunch that it might look dated where another finish (say, linen or velvet) might have been more timeless.
