Principal and Licensee Brent Spooner has expanded his business operations in Western Australia’s South West, acquiring offices in Busselton and Dunsborough as part of a significant merger deal.

The expansion increases LJ Hooker South West WA’s presence to four offices, including existing locations in Bunbury and Collie.

Mr Spooner, 39, has achieved remarkable growth since joining the network seven years ago, growing from a single office with four staff to now employing 68 people across four locations.

“This marks a significant step forward for our business, and we are not slowing down,” Mr Spooner said.

“We are focused on acquisition mode and organic growth and looking to double or even triple the size of our business in a couple of years.”

The merger includes the acquisition of The Professionals in Dunsborough and Busselton, with part of this business dating back to 1977 as Fraser Real Estate.

Mr Spooner’s expansion strategy includes scaling the rent roll and moving into commercial sales and leases.

“We are seeing more people relocating to the southwest, and rental properties remain tight, so we want to capture investors and maximise our efficiencies,” he said.

Head of Network Australia, Chris Keating, praised Mr Spooner’s achievements.

“Brent is part of the talented new generation of LJ Hooker principals and agents accelerating our iconic brand forward,” Mr Keating said.

“He has been named LJ Hooker Business Owner of the Year several times, and this is due to his dedication and vision to grow the brand in this dynamic and important region.”

Mr Spooner’s success is attributed to his focus on digital innovation, staff investment, and client care.

“When I first opened with LJ Hooker, I thought that we would just be a little boutique office on the corner, but it quickly became apparent there were a lot of opportunities,” Mr Spooner said.

“I’ve never lost a sales agent to a competing company. I believe that it is about showing people their value, and helping my staff reach the next stage of their career.”
